Flamboyant is a species of dicotyledonous plants in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae, native to tropical regions of America.

The species widespread in the West Indies may be an invasive plant with sEvergreen shrubs up to 3-5 meters tall, also large orange-red or yellow flowers, widely grown as an ornamental plant. Not to be confused with the much larger Delonix Regia also called flamboyant.

Advice and maintenance

A rich, well-drained and fresh soil, accompanied by a sunny exposure. Watering when the weather is dry.

This species does not really tolerate pot culture, however if you attempt pot culture, moderate watering is recommended, taking care to avoid stagnant water. Also bring a warm atmosphere to it.

Upon receipt of your plants, moisten the pot for a few minutes to rehydrate the roots. Plant immediately with or without the pot by inserting it into a suitable hole.
