Turmeric longa

Turmeric also called Indian Saffronis a spice whose rhizome is eaten, used as a condiment in cooking.This tuber   produces white to yellow flowers when 3 years old.

Advice and maintenance

turmericappreciates sunny, semi-shaded exposures with abundant watering during the growing season. As soon as the leaves turn yellow, stop watering. Preferably use a mix of sand and potting soil and good drainage.

Upon receipt of your plants, moisten the pot for a few minutes to rehydrate the roots. Plant immediately with or without the pot by inserting it into a suitable hole.
