Cherry Pay - Maple Tree - Malpighia Emarginata

Acerola is a tree whose fruit is called Barbados cherry or West Indian cherry. It is a natural source of vitamin C. The evergreen shrub of the Malpighiaceae family grows spontaneously in tropical regions of South America. It is also present in the West Indies where it is called cherry-country.

The bright red flowers open three times a year and its fruit is edible, with a sour taste. The fruits mature shortly after flowering.

Advice and maintenance

The maple tree is very sensitive to heat, its conservation requires great precaution. Place in a place with sun and shade. In our climates, it is preferable to grow in a greenhouse. The maple tree grows on all types of soil with very little maintenance to be expected, it is rustic.
