Also known as pigeon pea, pigeon pea, ambrevade or pwa di bwa in Guadeloupean Creole, pigeon pea is a perennial seed legume grown in rainfed agriculture in semi-arid tropical regions.

Known for their antibacterial, hypotensive, and antidiarrheal actions, the leaves can be eaten after cooking and the stems are used to clean teeth.

Advice and maintenance

Lhe plant plays the role of natural fertilizers from which the grain is harvested, or in monoculture by direct or intercropping seeding. Pigeon pea is very resistant, however good irrigation is recommended to have a good quality crop.

Upon receipt of your plants, moisten the pot for a few minutes to rehydrate the roots. Plant immediately with or without the pot by inserting it into a suitable hole.
