Cinnamon Apple - Annona Squamosa - Attier - Cinnamon Apple Tree

theCinnamon apple tree is a shrub native to tropical and subtropical regions of South America, it is also present in the Lesser and Greater Antilles, Mexico and Central America. It is a shrub 3 to 6 m high with its elongated, elliptical and lanceolate foliage.

Its flowers give rise to a fruit the size of an apple which is called cinnamon apple, atte or scaly annona Its skin is formed of several scales and inside there are many seeds. The fruit is very rich in vitamin C.

Advice and maintenance

The cinnamon apple tree likes warm environments, it fears the cold and even more frost. It adapts to different soils, but prefers hot and dry climates with light and well-drained soils.
