Aloe Vera has been adopted in traditional medicines since time immemorial, from Europe to the Middle East and from Africa to India and then China. Aloe gel is mainly found in the composition of cosmetics or drinks. It is also a depolluting plant in a house.

 Aloe Vera is a plant of arid environments which stores water in its leaves. Water is the main constituent of the leaf. The pulp is edible. Very rich in proteins and vitamins (vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, E, choline).

However,excessive consumption of whole aloe leaf can cause aloin symptoms. It must be ensured that the Aloe vera consumed is only the pulp, with a very minimal proportion of aloin.

Advice and maintenance

Avoid direct exposure to the sun, which can dry out the foliage and cause it to turn yellow. Near a window that lets in light. Water at least once a week ideally with rainwater especially when the soil is dry. No excess water, aloe vera is an arid plant. Otherwise, terracotta pots promote water evaporation.

Upon receipt of your plants, moisten the pot for a few minutes to rehydrate the roots. Plant immediately with or without the pot by inserting it into a suitable hole.
